Real Madrid receives bad news before big matches with Atletico and Man City

Real Madrid have received consecutive bad news just days before entering two important matches with Atletico Madrid and Man City.

David Alaba, Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham are the latest names to be added to the Spanish Royal team's "sick soldiers" list.

Alaba is expected to play against Leganes in the Copa del Rey after recovering from injury in preparation for the La Liga games against Atletico and Man City in the Champions League.

However, in the latest training session, the Austrian midfielder suffered a muscle injury and was forced to undergo medical treatment.

Alaba's injury gives coach Carlo Ancelotti a headache because Antonio Rudiger previously suffered a hamstring injury in the loss to Espanyol last weekend.

Not stopping there, in the latest announcement, the Italian strategist said that two pillars Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham were also injured, missing the match against Leganes in the quarter-finals of the King's Cup.

Mbappe and Bellingham are currently recovering to be back in time to join Real Madrid in the "big battle" with Atletico on February 9 and then the first leg of the Champions League play-off against Man City at Etihad (February 12).
