Thanh Mien Scholarship Fund is the highest in the province, nearly 18.9 billion VND

Over the past 5 years, the association at all levels has effectively implemented the construction of learning models. The whole district has 46,420 families registered for "Learning Families", reaching 70.9%; 991 clans registered for "Learning Clans", reaching 78.7%; 99 units registered for "Learning Units", reaching 72.7%; 83 villages and residential areas registered for "Learning Communities", reaching 78.3%. 100 communes and towns have piloted the "Learning Citizens" model.

As of June 2024, the district has added more than 4,400 members compared to 2019, bringing the number of members to 60,473, accounting for more than 42.6% of the population. Currently, the total number of Education Promotion Funds in Thanh Mien district is the highest in the province, with nearly 18.9 billion VND, an increase of more than 5.1 billion VND compared to 2019.

From this fund, the district’s associations have awarded tens of thousands of teachers and students with high achievements and given scholarships to disadvantaged students with a total amount of more than 7.4 billion VND. Of which, the awarding of scholarships in the direction of socialization has received special attention.

At the 5-year review meeting of the implementation of Conclusion 49-KL/TW dated May 10, 2019 of the Central Party Secretariat on continuing to implement Directive No. 11/CT-TW of the Politburo on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in promoting learning, promoting talents, and building a learning society" organized by the Thanh Mien District Association for Promoting Learning on the afternoon of July 4, many collectives and individuals were commended and rewarded for their outstanding achievements in implementing this conclusion.
