Phan Nhat family in Thanh Ha cares about promoting learning and talent

To encourage the learning movement, in 2005 the Phan Nhat Family Learning Promotion Board was established with a systematic and strict operating regulation. The Executive Board is made up of people who care about the education of their children and grandchildren; actively propagate and mobilize families to care for their children and grandchildren to improve their studies; promptly encourage and help poor families so that students can go to school.

Families and descendants in the clan have actively supported the clan's Education Promotion Fund with tens of millions of dong. From this fund, every year on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Clan's Education Promotion Board organizes a ceremony to honor and reward descendants with achievements in studying and working. In addition, the Clan's Education Promotion Board also periodically organizes a ceremony to honor and reward those who encourage learning and talent. 2024 is the second time the Education Promotion Board has organized a ceremony to honor.

From 2012 to 2024, the Family Education Promotion Committee has commended and awarded about 150 descendants who passed university entrance exams and were excellent students from district to national levels. The Family Education Promotion Committee awarded children who were awarded the military rank of general or associate professor 4 million VND; PhD, level II specialist doctor 3 million VND; master, level I specialist doctor 2 million VND; certificates of merit from the central and provincial levels from 800,000 - 1 million VND; university entrance exams 200,000 VND... In addition, the family also mobilized members to support the cost of buying bicycles, books, clothes... for students in difficult circumstances. The Family Education Promotion Fund currently maintains more than 40 million VND to serve the work of promoting education.

Mr. Phan Nhat Co, representative of the Phan Nhat Family Promotion Committee, said that the genealogy at the family temple clearly states that the Phan Nhat family in Thanh Lang commune originated from Trieu Son, Thanh Hoa province. From the end of the 17th century until now, the Phan Nhat family here has gone through 17 generations with 3 branches and 11 branches.

The work of encouraging learning and talent is maintained regularly by the family, promptly motivating the children in the family to strive to study and make progress in their work. From 2012 to now, the family has had 1 associate professor, 1 major general, 4 doctors, 1 specialist doctor II, 1 specialist doctor I, 13 masters... Many children working in Party and State agencies from the central to local levels have achieved high achievements and have been awarded medals, certificates of merit, certificates of merit by the President, Prime Minister, ministries, branches, provincial, city and district People's Committees...

“In the coming time, the Family Education Promotion Board will continue to promote propaganda and raise awareness of the importance of regular learning and lifelong learning to families. By 2030, the family strives to have 90% of its members achieving the title of Learning Citizen, and 80% of its members proficient in digital skills to self-update information on criteria for evaluating learning citizens in the digital environment,” said Mr. Co.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khien, Chairman of Thanh Lang Commune's Association for the Promotion of Education, said that Phan Nhat is a typical family of 17 families of families promoting education in the commune. Up to now, this family has been repeatedly commended by the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education, Thanh Ha District People's Committee, and Thanh Lang Commune People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the work of promoting education. Phan Nhat family is being proposed to the Central Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education to award the emulation flag in 2024.
