Speeding, hitting and killing a pedestrian on a provincial road, motorcyclist sentenced to prison

On the afternoon of July 18, the People's Court of Ninh Giang district sentenced Nguyen Van Tach (born in 1957 in Dong Trach village, Hong Phong commune, Ninh Giang) to 12 months in prison for violating regulations on road traffic participation.

At about 7:05 p.m. on February 23, on Provincial Road 396 in Tieu Tuong village, Hong Du commune (Ninh Giang), Nguyen Van Tach was riding a motorbike 34L3-0346 from Me bridge to Dam bridge at a speed of about 30-40 km/hour. Due to the darkness, rain, the helmet was down, and visibility was limited, but Tach did not reduce speed even though there was a danger warning sign on the right side of the road, so he collided with Mr. Ngo Quang Vinh (born in 1960 in An Rac village, Hong Du commune, Ninh Giang) who was walking in the same direction ahead. Mr. Vinh was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but died at home on February 29.
