Vehicles from the eastern and southeastern provinces to the northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) follow the direction of National Highway 5 - Nguyen Van Linh - Ly Son - Dong Tru Bridge - Truong Sa - Hoang Sa - Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2, or from National Highway 5 - Thanh Tri Bridge - Phu Dong Bridge - National Highway 3.
Vehicles from southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam...) going to the North (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) will follow the route Phap Van - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Phung Hung - Xa La - Van Phu - Le Trong Tan - Provincial Road 70 - Nhon - National Highway 32 - Vinh Thinh Bridge, Trung Ha Bridge.
