Traffic flow to welcome the US President

On the morning of September 9, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department said that to protect the US President's delegation visiting Vietnam, authorities will regulate traffic on September 10-11.

From 12:00 to 21:30 on September 10 and from 7:30 to 17:00 on September 11, trucks and passenger cars (except vehicles with security badges, buses, environmental sanitation vehicles, incident response vehicles, and fixed-route passenger cars) are banned on some routes through the districts of Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Soc Son, and Me Linh. Private cars and motorbikes operating on routes through the above areas are also restricted.

During this time, vehicles from the eastern and southeastern provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Hai Duong...) to the southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam...) will follow Thanh Tri - Phap Van bridge.

Vehicles from the eastern and southeastern provinces to the northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) follow the direction of National Highway 5 - Nguyen Van Linh - Ly Son - Dong Tru Bridge - Truong Sa - Hoang Sa - Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2, or from National Highway 5 - Thanh Tri Bridge - Phu Dong Bridge - National Highway 3.

Vehicles from southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam...) going to the North (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen...) will follow the route Phap Van - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Phung Hung - Xa La - Van Phu - Le Trong Tan - Provincial Road 70 - Nhon - National Highway 32 - Vinh Thinh Bridge, Trung Ha Bridge.

President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Vietnam on September 10-11 at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. This will be President Biden's first visit to Vietnam since taking office in early 2021.
