Traffic diversion on the occasion of 120th anniversary of Sa Pa Tourism

Accordingly, on September 22, 23, and 24, 2023, Lao Cai prohibits trucks with 4 axles or more (except for gasoline and oil trucks, relief trucks, postal vehicles, and priority vehicles as prescribed) from circulating on National Highway 4D from Km89+00 to Km136+00.

The document stated that, in order to reduce traffic on National Highway 4D, vehicles with 29 seats or less can travel along Provincial Road 152 to Sa Pa town center and vice versa as follows: Vehicles travel along the following route: Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway - Pho Lu Intersection - Provincial Road 152 - Muong Hoa Road - Sa Pa town center and vice versa; Sa Pa town center - Fansipan Road - Tue Tinh Road - Violet Road - Provincial Road 152 - Pho Lu Intersection - Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway.

For the Lao Cai - Sa Pa bypass (BOT road), vehicles travel one way from Sa Pa to Lao Cai on the Lao Cai - Sa Pa bypass at the intersection of Km120+666 National Highway 4D.

On this occasion, Sa Pa Town Police set up 25 checkpoints to ensure order and traffic flow when local congestion occurs. The locality has arranged parking areas to serve delegates and tourists with a capacity of up to thousands of vehicles.
