Traffic diversion to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping's delegation to visit Vietnam

On December 12 and 13, 2023, activities will take place in Hanoi to welcome the international delegation to officially visit Vietnam. To ensure security, safety, and smooth operation to protect the international delegation, Hanoi City Police have planned traffic diversion and organized directions for all types of vehicles.

Accordingly, from 12:00 to 21:30 on December 12, 2023 and from 07:30 to 17:00 on December 13, 2023, temporarily ban passenger transport and freight transport vehicles (except vehicles with security badges, buses, environmental sanitation vehicles, vehicles handling and troubleshooting; fixed-route passenger vehicles) on a number of traffic routes under the orders and instructions of the authorities; restrict private cars and motorbikes from operating on traffic routes in the following districts: Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Me Linh.

During the above period, Hanoi City Police have planned to organize the route for vehicles under temporary ban and restriction as follows:

For vehicles from the Eastern and Southeastern provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, ...) to the Southern provinces, they will travel in the direction of Thanh Tri - Phap Van bridge - to the Southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, ...) and vice versa.

Vehicles from the Eastern and Southeastern provinces (Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, ...) to the Northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, ...) will travel along National Highway 5 - Nguyen Van Linh - Ly Son - Dong Tru Bridge - Truong Sa - Hoang Sa - Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2 or from National Highway 5 - Thanh Tri Bridge - Phu Dong Bridge - National Highway 3 to go to the Northern provinces and vice versa.

Vehicles from the southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, ...) to the northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, ...) follow the route Phap Van - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Phung Hung - Xa La - Van Phu - Le Trong Tan - Provincial Road 70 - Nhon - National Highway 32 - Vinh Thinh Bridge (or Trung Ha Bridge) - to the northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, ...) and vice versa.

Vehicles are restricted from going on Ring Road III (from Nguyen Trai - Khuat Duy Tien intersection to Vo Van Kiet).

The Traffic Police Department requires all vehicles participating in traffic to strictly comply with the Road Traffic Law; when encountering priority vehicles signaling priority on duty, they must promptly change direction to the nearest level crossings or intersections according to the instructions of the authorities to give way to priority vehicles.
