This is a rumor that Mr. Thang Dang wrote on his personal Facebook page. Is it believable that someone forged the decision of the Ministry of Public Security banning me from leaving the country? Not believable at all," Mr. Duong Cong Minh said at the congress.

According to Mr. Minh, the cause of this problem is that when Sacombank lent money to Bamboo Airways, when Mr. Quyet was arrested, he had to act as an advisor to Bamboo Airways, the goal was to prevent the loan from losing its capital.

At that time, Mr. Thang demanded 200 billion VND for himself. But then Mr. Quyet's family let Mr. Thang retire before new investors came to invest.

He suggested that Mr. Thang work with a new partner, but the new investor did not agree. Since then, Mr. Thang has been badmouthing Mr. Minh on Facebook and has been fined by the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications.

"I affirm 100% that it has nothing to do with Ms. Truong My Lan. If it did, I would never be able to sit here. I assure you, in all cases I will always turn to the bank, for the bank," Mr. Minh emphasized.

Previously on the evening of April 1, on the Facebook page named "Thang Dang" posted news that Mr. Duong Cong Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) - was banned from leaving the country for participating in money laundering for Ms. Truong My Lan - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Van Thinh Phat Company - and some other information.

Sacombank affirms that the above information is completely fabricated and slanderous to defame Sacombank's leaders.

"Mr. Duong Cong Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sacombank - is completely unrelated to the Van Thinh Phat case, and is not banned from leaving the country as spread by the Facebook account "Thang Dang", Sacombank's document affirmed.

In the document, Sacombank also said that the Facebook account named "Thang Dang" has repeatedly posted fabricated and slanderous news about Sacombank's leaders.

Along with the document sent to the Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Information and Communications, and press agencies, Sacombank also issued a press release refuting the baseless news.

Later, at the Government press conference on the afternoon of April 3, regarding the case of false information about Mr. Duong Cong Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sacombank - banned from leaving the country, Lieutenant General To An Xo, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security, affirmed that "anyone who violates the law will be dealt with by the law, there are no forbidden areas, no exceptions".
