Mr. Cao Tuong Huy was elected Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province.

As a result, with 100% of the votes in favor from the Provincial People's Council delegates, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy, acting Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, was elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, on December 5, the Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term held the 42nd Conference to elect Mr. Cao Tuong Huy to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term with an absolute number of votes.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tuong Huy said that he was honored to be assigned the task of continuing the tradition of previous generations and that the current provincial leaders were enthusiastic, responsible, united, and joined forces to overcome all difficulties and challenges with steadfast faith. In particular, the solidarity has created a comprehensive strength to build and affirm the new position of Quang Ninh as a typical province, leading the country in many fields, becoming a bright spot in innovation in the Northern Delta region, a growth pole in the Northern region.

Mr. Cao Tuong Huy was born in 1973, hometown in Giao Tien commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province; professional qualifications: University degree in Construction, University degree in Business Administration, Master of Economics; Advanced degree in political theory.

He has held the following positions: Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of Binh Lieu District Party Committee, Head of Propaganda Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

On December 6, 2018, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy was elected by the People's Council of Quang Ninh province as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. On December 2, 2022, the Prime Minister assigned the authority of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term to Mr. Cao Tuong Huy until the position of Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee is completed.
