Female soldier Pham Thuy Duong (Hai Duong) won a gold medal in unarmed combat at the all-army sports festival.

On October 9, at the 2024 National Defense Sports Festival organized by the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant, professional soldier Pham Thuy Duong of the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command excellently won a gold medal in unarmed combat, 57-60kg category.

The 2024 National Defense Sports Festival has 2,688 coaches and athletes from 43 agencies and units across the army participating.

The regular force competed in 9 events including volleyball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, unarmed combat, strongman, armed swimming, obstacle course, and 3,000m armed obstacle course. The Hai Duong Provincial Military Command had 3 comrades participating.

Athletes compete from September 28 to October 11 at four locations: National Military Training Center 4, Special Forces Officer School, Political Officer School, and Army Officer School 1.

Second Lieutenant, professional soldier Pham Thuy Duong of the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command has excellently won a gold medal in unarmed combat, 57-60kg category.

Ms. Duong was born in 2001, from Hung Dao commune (Tu Ky), volunteered to join the army in 2021. Ms. Duong won 2 gold medals at the 2022 Military Martial Arts Clubs Unarmed Combat Championship and the 2023 Military Martial Arts Clubs Unarmed Combat Sports Festival.
