Hai Duong Photography inherits and develops

On March 15, the Hai Duong Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized a discussion and exhibition of art photos to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam's Traditional Photography Day (March 15, 1953 - March 15, 2023).

On this occasion, members of the Hai Duong Photography Board (Provincial Literature and Arts Association) reviewed the tradition of photography through the ages.

Hai Duong Photography was formed after 1954, attracting photography enthusiasts from many agencies and units in the province to participate... Artists have enthusiastically experienced many places, recording valuable photos of the life, fighting, and working of Hai Duong people through the ages. In 1987, Hai Duong Photography Committee was established under the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, initially with only 5 members, to date it has attracted nearly 30 members. Many elderly photographers are still passionate about contributing, creating and have many works participating in competitions and exhibitions at home and abroad.

At the seminar, the artists affirmed that Hai Duong photography today has inherited and developed many achievements of Vietnamese photography and the photographic experience of previous Hai Duong artists. The artists raised difficulties and challenges for photography in the current period, experiences in using technology to enhance works; and discussed solutions to create attractive, unique artistic photographic works that reflect the breath of life and are closer to the public...
On this occasion, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association displayed nearly 100 artistic photographs by artists of the Hai Duong Photography Board.
