People in Dong Lo hamlet, Cu Loc village, Minh Duc commune, Tu Ky district (Hai Duong) are miserable because irrigation canal water overflows onto the road, causing difficulty in traveling and affecting their lives.
For many years, people in Dong Lo hamlet, Cu Loc village, Minh Duc commune (Tu Ky) have been suffering because the hamlet roads are sometimes flooded due to leaks in the irrigation canals running through this area. Every time irrigation is pumped, about 100m of this hamlet road is flooded to a depth of 30-40cm. In many low-lying sections, water flows into people's yards and gardens, affecting crops and people's lives. Flooding occurs frequently and lasts for many hours, sometimes even 4-5 days.
The cause was determined to be that the irrigation canal section managed by the locality was built a long time ago, so it was degraded and leaking; the canal bed was long and narrow, so it could not carry water in time.
Therefore, every time Minh Duc Agricultural Service Cooperative pumps irrigation water for agricultural production, it leads to flooding. Currently, the locality does not have the funds to repair the canals.
