On February 26, Tra Tap Commune Police, Nam Tra My District coordinated with relevant agencies to advise the Chairman of the District People's Committee to issue a decision to fine HVC (born in 2006, residing in Tra Tap Commune, Nam Tra My District) VND 7.5 million for posting false information on the social network TikTok.

Previously, on February 12, C. was one of the young men who passed the military service exam and was preparing to leave for military service.

However, due to his love of fun and lack of legal knowledge, C. posted on his TikTok account the following content:"The first day I was visited by you guys", accompanied by a photo of himself in military uniform with a bruised face (C. used TikTok's software to alter his face).

This act of posting false information affects the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers. The unit receiving the soldiers returned young man C. to his hometown. Tra Tap Commune Police received the case and worked with C..

At the police station, C. admitted that posting the above information was untrue, affecting the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers and creating bad public opinion.

After being analyzed and instructed by the police, C. realized his wrongdoing, voluntarily removed the offending post and wrote a correction to post on his personal TikTok page.

The Chairman of Nam Tra My District People's Committee has decided to administratively fine HVC 7.5 million VND.

The police agency recommends that citizens strictly comply with the provisions of the law when participating in social networks; especially young people need to be alert, not to post or share false, unverified information on social networks in a moment of impulsiveness to "follow the trend" or for fun.

Any act of posting false information will be strictly handled according to the provisions of law.
