On April 11, some sections of the Do Cay - Tien Kieu canal had black water and a foul smell, especially the section passing through Cao An and Duc Chinh communes.
On the morning of April 11, the Standing Committee of Cam Giang District People's Council inspected and surveyed the compliance with environmental protection regulations on the Do Cay - Tien Kieu and Cam Dong - Phi Xa canals.
These canals run through the communes of Cam Doai, Cam Dong, Cao An, Duc Chinh, Dinh Son and Lai Cach town. In some sections of the Do Cay - Tien Kieu canal, the water has turned black and has a foul smell, especially in the sections passing through the communes of Cao An and Duc Chinh.
Faced with the above situation, the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Cam Giang district has directed the Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the district to regularly monitor water quality from the source, the sluices supplying water to the district, and take measures with the communes to be proactive in irrigation for agricultural production.

Faced with the current situation of water pollution in some localities in the province, the Cam Giang District Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise has directed clusters to regularly check and monitor water quality, close all sluices and not pump water into the fields if the water is found to be polluted, limiting the impact on farmers' agricultural production.
