Timeline for registration for high school graduation exam and university admission 2024

At the university admissions consultation session held on January 13, MSc. Hoang Thuy Nga, senior expert of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training, said that the high school graduation exam is expected to take place between June 20 and 30. In April 2024, candidates will begin registering for graduation exam combinations.

Regarding enrollment, training institutions currently use many different methods and forms according to the provisions of the Law on Higher Education.

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training, schools must publish enrollment information on the school's website and must develop their own enrollment regulations, specifying the ministry's regulations for all forms of training at the school.

Candidates need to carefully study the admission information on the school's website about the criteria, conditions, procedures, and forms of admission to take advantage of all early admission opportunities. In the first round, candidates will register for admission immediately after the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam are available.

Candidates can register for admission from July 2024, expected to be 20 days. Candidates can register an unlimited number of wishes. The number of wishes for admission must be arranged in order from highest to lowest, in which the first wish is the highest wish.

Registration for university admission in 2024 is done online on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission portal or the National Public Service Portal.

Candidates register with the account and password provided when registering for the high school graduation exam. For additional admission, it is expected to take place in September 2024. For additional admission, candidates can only register for schools that still have quotas.
