An artificial intelligence model developed by an international team of researchers has demonstrated the ability to predict future events in human life, including the time of death.

According to Oddity Central (UK), the Life2vec model, developed by scientists in Denmark and the US, is based on a huge amount of data that can predict different aspects of each person's life.

After being fed data from demographic and health records for 6 million people in Denmark — such as birth date, education, salary, housing and health — the AI model was trained to predict what would happen in the future.

According to scientists, Life2vec also has the unique ability to predict when people will die based on data analysis. For example, when tested on a group of people aged 35 to 65, half of whom died between 2016 and 2020, the algorithm predicted their life expectancy with 78% accuracy.

Professor Sune Lehmann Jørgensen, the lead scientist at the Technical University of Denmark, points out that Life2vec was trained exclusively on data from Denmark, so its predictions may not apply to people living elsewhere. Jørgensen also stresses that the model should not fall into the hands of insurance companies, even though they may be using similar technology on us.

Life2vec is not currently available to the public, but its creators suspect it has been developed and is being used by major tech companies on massive amounts of data.

Despite the ethical implications, using this AI model has the potential to estimate a person's lifespan with astonishing accuracy.

“Our model allows researchers to explore potential mechanisms that impact quality of life, as well as issues related to personalized interventions,” the Life2vec development team said.
