Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is discounted nearly 300 million VND at the dealer

In recent months, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has not appeared in the Japanese automaker's incentive program, but the mid-size SUV is still being cleared at dealers. However, the Pajero Sport is discounted at a high level mainly for the 2023 production version (VIN2023).

A sales consultant at a dealership in Hanoi said that this facility still has VIN2023 in stock, the cars are being cleared from stock with a discount of 224 - 285 million VND for both versions (1-wheel drive and 2-wheel drive), helping to reduce the selling price to only 906 - 1,080 billion VND, equivalent to the C-class crossover models currently on sale.

However, the number of remaining cars is not too much, especially the cheap 2.4AT 4x2 version that is chosen by many people, and the color scheme will not be diverse for buyers.

Another dealer in the Da Nang area said that the car only has one version, the 2.4AT 4x4, priced at over 1.1 billion VND, and only white is available to customers.

The mid-size SUV segment currently has many competing models, but the segment leader is still the Ford Everest with 2024 sales of 10,841 units, 3 times more than the next model in the segment, the Santa Fe (6,941 units).

On the contrary, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is no longer as attractive as previous years due to limited upgrades. In 2024, the number of cars sold was only 741, only higher than the Isuzu mu-X among mid-size SUVs.

In addition, this segment is also facing strong competition at the beginning of the year when a series of car models are also discounted to clear inventory, typically Hyundai Santa Fe VIN2024 is being discounted by 50 - 100 million VND. Even Ford Everest is also being offered a 50% discount on registration fees (Ambiente version) as the wave of Chinese cars flooding into Vietnam is increasing.
