Cho Coc Temple in Gia Khanh Commune (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) is seriously degraded, not ensuring safety for people and visitors to visit and worship.

The wooden pillars in the temple are infested with termites.

The front yard of the small and narrow shrine (1.5 m wide) is not suitable for organizing cultural and religious activities. The temple grounds are low, level with the traffic road, so they are often flooded. The roof is broken, causing leaks, affecting the wooden structures. The roof structure and the substructure are damaged by termites, the walls are cracked, sunken, tilted, and are no longer usable. The floor is paved with many types of tiles, which are not uniform and do not match the traditional architectural style of the relic.

Cho Coc Temple relic was built during the Nguyen Dynasty (19th century) to worship the tutelary god Nguyen Cong Nguyen, who helped King Ly fight the Song invaders.

On January 25, 1990, the temple was ranked as a national historical relic by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).
