Small, super cheap electric convertible car in China

According to Vietnamnet November 5, 2023 07:48

The Wuling Mini EV Cabrio electric car is one of the most unique and cheapest convertible electric cars in the world today.

Wuling is an electric car startup that has made waves in recent years with its compact Hongguang Mini EV electric car, which is considered the cheapest green energy car in the world today.

In 2022, Wuling's Hongguang Mini EV sold a total of 443,400 units, becoming the world's third best-selling electric vehicle, and the sales of this unique electric vehicle were even greater than those of the famous Tesla Model 3.

Previously, in 2021, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV was the world's best-selling electric vehicle, surpassing both Tesla and BYD.

However, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV also has another unique convertible "sports" version sibling, although not as famous, it is also one of the quite attractive electric car models in the Chinese market today, which is the Wuling Mini EV Cabrio.

Currently, there are not many designs of electric convertible cars in the world. Typical of these are the Mini Cooper SE EV with only 999 units produced, or the newly launched MG Cyberster, but it will not be officially distributed in international markets until next year. This shows that consumers have very few opportunities to access a convertible electric car, even in the US it is almost impossible.

However, electric car enthusiasts in China only need to spend $14,000, equivalent to about 340 million VND, to own an extremely adorable Wuling Mini EV Cabrio convertible electric car.

As the name suggests, the Wuling Cabrio is a convertible sports coupe, so it only has 2 seats instead of 5 seats like its brother Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. In addition, this product does not have too many differences or innovations.

The Cabrio is also designed by Wuling to use the same 12-inch tires as the Hongguang Mini EV. The overall dimensions are 3,059mm long, 1,521mm wide, 1,614mm high, and the wheelbase is 2,010mm. Although it only has 2 seats, it is slightly larger than the 5-seat version.

The car's interior is not much different from the Hongguang Mini EV model.

In terms of interior, the Cabrio continues to inherit almost the entire front interior of its predecessor, with the easily recognizable feature of a traditional radio but still capable of Bluetooth connectivity and 3 USB charging ports.

Overall, this is a more unique and cool version of the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV.
