Initial testimony of Duong Dinh Luyen - the brutal murderer of his ex-lover's mother and child in Chi Linh

On July 8, Duong Dinh Luyen was arrested while hiding in Ho Chi Minh City. After being transferred to the Investigation Police Department of Hai Duong Province, Luyen initially confessed to his crimes.

According to Luyen's statement, on the morning of June 23, after drinking alcohol, he had the intention of taking revenge on Ms. TTNA (born in 1993, residing in Tuong residential area, Van An ward, Chi Linh city).

Early in the afternoon of the same day, Luyen went to see Ms. NA at home, but at that time, only Ms. LTH, Ms. NA's biological mother, was at home. At around 2:00 p.m., Ms. NA was working at a spa when she received a phone call from her biological mother saying that Luyen was at home and asked her to come home to talk.

At Mrs. H.'s house, Luyen stabbed Ms. NA multiple times with a weapon. When Mrs. H. tried to stop him, Luyen also stabbed her repeatedly. When some neighbors discovered the incident, they called out and took the victims to the emergency room. Both Mrs. H. and her daughter died from serious injuries.

When Luyen heard the neighbors' screams, he got into a car with license plate 34C-312.16 and fled the scene towards Van Duc ward (Chi Linh) and then followed the bypass to National Highway 18 and National Highway 37. When he reached the area near the intersection of the bypass in Mieu Son village, Thai Hoc ward (Chi Linh), the car lost control and crashed into the rice field. Seeing that, Luyen left the car and ran to his wife's parents' house in Van Duc ward to get a motorbike and escape.

During the 15 days on the run, Luyen moved to many provinces and cities such as Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Dak Nong, Ho Chi Minh City...

The initial investigation determined that in 2014, Luyen lived as husband and wife with Ms. NA and had a son together, born in 2016. In 2018, Luyen was arrested for illegal possession of drugs and sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.

After completing his prison sentence, Luyen and Ms. NA ended their relationship. In 2021, Luyen married Ms. D.TG (born in 1994) and lived in Sao Do ward (Chi Linh). Luyen worked in industrial cleaning services, while Ms. G. ran an online clothing business.

After ending her relationship with Luyen, Ms. NA worked at a spa in Sao Do ward and lived with her mother. Before the tragic murder, Luyen and Ms. NA had a conflict about what Ms. NA said about Luyen and Ms. G. on Facebook.

Based on collected documents, on July 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong Province Police issued a decision to prosecute Luyen for murder.
