A woman in Chi Linh has two rare uteruses.

Doctors at the Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital (Quang Ninh) have just successfully performed surgery on a pregnant woman with a rare condition called two uteruses.

Previously, the pregnant woman, NNA, 24 years old (from Chi Linh, Hai Duong), was pregnant for the first time, 37 weeks and 5 days pregnant, with signs of intermittent abdominal pain, so her family took her to the Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital for examination.

During pregnancy, the pregnant woman had an ultrasound and discovered that she had two uteruses (double uterus), so she closely monitored her pregnancy and followed the regular check-up schedule as prescribed by her doctor. When the pregnancy was 37 weeks and 5 days old, she had signs of intermittent abdominal pain in the epigastric region, showing signs of labor, and her family took her to the hospital.

After examination, necessary clinical tests and indication for cesarean section on the same day. The surgery was successful, the baby boy was born rosy, crying loudly, weighing 3.1 kg with stable maternal survival indicators.
