Indonesian Football Federation pays $1.5 million to invite coach Park Hang Seo to replace Shin Tae-yong

Coach Park Hang Seo has received an offer from the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI). PSSI offered Mr. Park a salary of 1.5 million USD a year. This salary is double the salary Mr. Park received when he renewed his contract with the Vietnam Football Federation in 2022.

Coach Park Hang Seo is still on vacation. This coach is aiming to build a community football academy in Vietnam. In addition, the Korean coach's representative also contacted a club in the V-League but there has been no agreement between the parties. In a television program, Coach Park Hang Seo confirmed that he met directly with representatives of the Hanoi Police Club.

The salary that PSSI offered to Mr. Park is higher than that of coach Shin Tae-yong. Mr. Shin receives a salary of 1 million USD a year and is in charge of three teams including U19, U22 and the Indonesian national team. Therefore, it is likely that Mr. Park Hang Seo will have to do many tasks at the same time with the above salary if he agrees to PSSI's offer.

Mr. Shin Tae Yong's contract with PSSI will expire at the end of this year. Indonesian teams will not participate in any tournaments during this time, as Indonesia was stripped of the right to host the U20 World Cup. Therefore, the Indonesian press speculates that PSSI will find a replacement for Mr. Shin Tae Yong. PSSI will have a direct meeting with Mr. Shin Tae Yong to soon finalize the future.
