Vietnam-Singapore semi-final live schedule: Familiar time slot

The Vietnamese team will continue their journey at the ASEAN Cup 2024 (AFF Cup) with a trip to Singapore in the first leg of the semi-finals.

The Singapore-Vietnam semi-final will take place on the Jalan Besar artificial turf field (Kallang) at 8pm tonight, December 26. This is also the familiar time slot for the Vietnamese team since the beginning of the tournament.

Before this encounter, the "golden star warriors" had an impressive record against Singapore, having not lost to this opponent since the 1998 Tiger Cup final.

Therefore, Singapore under coach Tsutomu Ogura is determined to "break the curse" and win to gain an advantage before the second leg.

Jalan Besar Stadium is also considered a solid support for Singapore as they are on a six-match unbeaten streak since June 2017.

Two years ago, the Vietnamese team also faced difficulties on this field and only managed a 0-0 draw in the group stage of the 2024 AFF Cup.

Having to play on artificial turf will certainly create many difficulties for the Vietnamese players, but everyone is ready for today's match with the goal of winning.

Before the match, coach Kim Sang-sik also confidently affirmed: "Our opponent in the semi-finals is Singapore. Everyone is ready for victory. We hope to have a good performance."

The Singapore-Vietnam match will be broadcast live on VTV2, VTV Can Tho channels as well as the VTVgo application.

According to the regulations issued by the AFF Cup 2024, the semi-finals of the AFF Cup 2024 will not apply the away goals rule.

The team that scores the higher total number of goals over the two legs will win the match. If the aggregate score is tied, the match will go into extra time and, if necessary, a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
