The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his joy and excitement when the school had made quite solid initial steps, demonstrated in the consolidation of the organizational structure, arrangement of faculties and departments, opening training codes suitable to social needs, especially in enrollment. Thereby, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and intelligence of the collective and the team of cadres and lecturers, promoting the traditions and strengths of both schools before the merger and gradually overcoming difficulties to strive to bring the school to achieve the set targets.

After 5 months since merging Hai Duong College into Hai Duong University, the new Hai Duong University has quickly consolidated, arranged, and restructured its apparatus. The school has opened and enrolled 10 new university training majors, including 8 majors in mathematics, literature, English, primary education, preschool education, natural sciences, history, and physical education; 2 majors in economics and engineering.

The school has achieved and exceeded the enrollment target for the 2023-2024 school year. The school's college, university, and master's enrollment reached over 1,800 students, more than twice as high as the total enrollment of the two schools before the merger. The scale of the school's training systems currently reaches over 3,500 students. It is expected that by 2025, the school's training and education scale will reach 8,000 students.
