At around 7:00 a.m. on October 16, residents living at the intersection of Tran Phu and Nguyen Hoang streets (Tam Ky City, Quang Ngai) discovered smoke and fire coming from an electricity and water warehouse in the area and immediately called the authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the fire prevention, fighting and rescue force of Tam Ky City mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers and vehicles to the scene to put out the fire.
At the scene, although it was still raining due to the influence of the Northeast monsoon and the Tam Ky City Fire Prevention and Fighting Force mobilized fire trucks to spray water to put out the fire, because it was an electricity and water warehouse, the goods were mainly plastic and many flammable substances, so the fire burned high with a column of black smoke. The authorities blocked off a section of the road right in front of the fire to carry out their duties.
Thanks to the timely implementation of fire extinguishing plans, by about 9:00 a.m. on October 16, the fire prevention, fighting and rescue forces of Tam Ky city basically extinguished the fire. According to initial information, the authorities were able to safely remove 1 truck and some goods and components in the electricity and water industry in the warehouse.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
