Room for rent near center

Many cities in Türkiye are large, spread over mountainous terrain, with districts far apart. Therefore, tourists who plan to visit an area should rent a room in that area. If they stay too far away, they will waste time and money traveling to different locations.

Renting a room in the center may be a little higher than renting further away, but it is still lower than the cost of having to travel too much.

On the other hand, in the tourist center, it is easy to access public transportation and easy to find restaurants to enjoy local cuisine.

A normal room for two people costs from 600,000 - 1.5 million VND/night, depending on the area. You can easily find many options on platforms such as Airbnb, Booking, Agoda.

Room for rent with full kitchen and furniture

Airbnb apartments and houses are cheaper than hotels. You don’t need to meet the landlord because they will give you the door lock code so you can check in and check out yourself.

These apartments often have a full kitchen, washing machine, refrigerator, iron, allowing tenants to use them flexibly according to their needs.

Another advantage of renting an apartment is that guests can check in early and check out a little later than the scheduled time, if there are no other guests before and after. Turkish hosts are willing to give you extra time for free, which is not the case when renting a hotel.

In return, you will not have daily room cleaning, no receptionist, no laundry service or meal service like in a hotel.

Connect with the host or staff

Even if you have internet access in Türkiye, it can be helpful to ask your landlord or accommodation staff for help. In many cases, map apps can have missing or incorrect traffic information, which can waste time and money trying to find your destination.

For example, for the same trip, Google Maps may not suggest public transportation or give you a detour that takes you further; when in fact public transportation is available and you can take a short trip to save time.

So, always ask the host before you arrive. Most hosts are enthusiastic and willing to give you detailed advice: how to get from the airport or train station to your accommodation; how to get from your accommodation to tourist attractions, where to exchange money, where to shop, and which local restaurants or markets are worth experiencing nearby.

Note that Facebook Messenger is not popular in Türkiye, you should use WhatsApp - a more popular application.

Respect where you live

Guests need to respect the accommodation, whether they are staying in a homestay or a hotel. Limiting noise, dirtying carpets, walls or doors, taking care of household items and not littering are the minimum requirements for visitors.

For Turkish people, saying "hello" and "thank you" is very important, you should take the initiative to greet when meeting and thank the host every time they help you. This makes the host happier and can increase the quality of their service.

Even if you only come once, respect for the house and the owner will create a positive effect in the general tourist community, including the next Vietnamese people who come here to travel.
