On the morning of January 6, the Central Inspection Commission held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
Attending and directing the conference, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu emphasized that in 2024, the Central Inspection Commission promptly advised the Politburo and the Secretariat to consider and issue many important documents on inspection and supervision work with many updated and supplemented contents, meeting practical requirements.
Well perform the advisory work to promulgate and organize the implementation of the Politburo and Secretariat's Inspection Program in 2024 for 10 party organizations. Advise on the comprehensive implementation of tasks according to the Party Charter with "a very large amount of work, the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of inspection and supervision are improved".
Of these, 19 inspections were conducted for signs of violations against 18 party organizations and 2 party members. The inspections clearly concluded the violations and shortcomings of party organizations and party members; disciplinary actions were taken according to authority against 172 party organizations and 235 party members; and the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat were requested to consider and discipline 26 party organizations and 23 party members.
The Central Inspection Commission completed all 8 inspections when there were signs of violations against 8 party organizations in the leadership and direction of the implementation of projects and bidding packages carried out by Phuc Son Group, Thuan An Group and related enterprises. Through the inspections, disciplinary actions were taken against 76 party organizations and 130 party members according to their authority; and the Central Executive Committee, Politburo and Secretariat were requested to discipline 9 party organizations and 11 party members. The Commission directed 13 Standing Committees and Inspection Committees of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees to basically complete the inspections when there were signs of violations against the Party Executive Committees of the People's Committees of relevant provinces and cities.
Completed all 8 inspections of leadership, direction and organization of implementation of projects and packages carried out by AIC Company, Van Thinh Phat Group and related enterprises.
Through inspection, disciplinary action was taken against 74 party organizations and 92 party members, and it was proposed that the Central Executive Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat take disciplinary action against 15 party organizations and 34 party members.
Highlighting the results achieved, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu noted that there are still some limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome. In particular, the performance of departments and units is not really uniform; coordination of work is sometimes not tight.
Some inspection, supervision and disciplinary complaint handling teams have been slow in progress; in some cases, the investigation and verification have not been thorough and rigorous, and the quality of the reports is not high.
Grasping the local situation and regular supervision are still limited, the quality is not deep and not timely, many violations of party organizations and party members are slow to be discovered, inspection and supervision are not proposed in time, so when inspected and handled, the consequences are very serious... cases of inspection of signs of violations are still mainly directed by the Standing Committee of the Committee, the Central Steering Committee on preventing corruption, waste and negativity.
Emphasizing that 2025 is of great significance to the completion of the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Standing Secretariat proposed to urgently arrange and streamline the Agency's apparatus in accordance with the Central Committee's plan and the Politburo's Decision, ensuring synchronization, unity, and true streamlining, efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency, along with restructuring and building a team of Agency staff with sufficient qualities, capacity, and prestige to meet the requirements of assigned tasks. Quickly stabilize the organization to immediately get to work from the first days and months of the year.
The Standing Secretariat proposed focusing on comprehensively, seriously and effectively implementing tasks according to the Party Charter and tasks assigned by the Party Committee, focusing on inspection when there are signs of violations.
Strengthen inspection and supervision, promptly detect, prevent, and warn of violations and shortcomings, focusing on inspecting and supervising the summary of Resolution No. 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently" and implementing Directive No. 35 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
At the conference, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Van Ron said that in 2025, the Central Inspection Commission will promptly advise the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat to amend, supplement, and perfect regulations and rules on inspection, supervision, and discipline work of the Party to ensure strictness, scientificity, synchronization, unity, and suitability with the reality and models of new Party organizations after reorganization and streamlining.
At the same time, synthesize and report to the Politburo and the Secretariat the results of the inspection delegations of the Politburo and the Secretariat according to the 2024 Inspection Program. Develop a report summarizing the inspection, supervision and disciplinary enforcement work of the Party during the 13th Congress term and a report on the implementation of the Working Regulations of the 13th Central Inspection Committee; the entire working program of the Committee during the 14th Congress term.
In addition, develop and implement the inspection and supervision work program for 2025, focusing on inspecting and supervising the implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The summary of the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Central Executive Committee is associated with controlling power in personnel work, and the work of preventing corruption, waste, and negativity.
