Accordingly, the ministry has assigned specific tasks to each group and corporation involved in power generation.

In the above directive, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) is responsible for developing an operation plan and reasonably mobilizing power sources in the national power system to ensure absolutely safe power supply for major political and cultural events, holidays and Tet in 2024; ensuring sufficient power supply for production, business and people's daily life throughout 2024, avoiding power shortages in any situation.

At the same time, proactively develop appropriate operation plans for renewable energy sources and other power sources in the system in cases of excess power, shortage of power, and grid overload; ensure safe, stable and reliable operation of the power system; strictly comply with current regulations on operation, mobilization and real-time dispatch of the national power system.

Regarding the power grid system, EVN needs to safely, stably and reliably operate the national power system, the 500 - 220kV regional and local transmission grids and the nationwide distribution grid to ensure power supply; regularly monitor the hydrological situation, proactively report and coordinate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorology, and the People's Committees of the provinces with hydroelectric reservoirs to develop and implement plans to regulate water for hydroelectric reservoirs according to the regulations in the inter-reservoir operation procedures approved by the Prime Minister, ensuring economical and efficient use of water, contributing to ensuring security of power supply.

Power Generation Corporations and power generation units under EVN closely coordinate with fuel suppliers (coal, gas, oil) to ensure adequate, continuous and stable supply for power generation needs of power plants; regularly inspect and strengthen power plant equipment to ensure improved operational reliability and power generation capacity.

For Power Corporations, provincial and municipal power companies, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests that they coordinate with local Departments of Industry and Trade to take measures to ensure safe operation of power grid corridors; review and not implement plans to stop or reduce power supply related to power grid maintenance and repair during holidays and Tet in 2024.

EVN directs the National Power Transmission Corporation, Power Generation Corporations, power corporations, and provincial and municipal power companies to strengthen the implementation of the on-duty operation regime to promptly handle possible incidents to ensure safe and continuous power supply; it is necessary to re-establish on-site on-duty operations at transformer stations operating without personnel at important times.

For the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires the development of a plan to provide fuel (coal, gas, oil) to ensure sufficient, continuous and stable power generation needs of power plants; direct and urge to ensure reliable operation of power plants managed by the group to ensure power supply for the entire system.

For power generation units, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires absolute compliance with the dispatching orders of the dispatching authority with control authority; implementing the operating shift regime and reporting the operation status and incidents of the power plant in accordance with current regulations; closely coordinating with fuel suppliers (coal, gas, oil) to ensure adequate, continuous and stable supply for power generation needs.

At the same time, regularly check and strengthen the equipment of power plants to ensure improved operational reliability and increased power generation capacity.
