The People's Committee of Long Xuyen commune (Binh Giang) has just held an inauguration ceremony for the restoration and embellishment of the national historical relic Cay temple.

The project started in May 2024, including renovation items of the front hall, the back hall, the ceremonial gate, the stele house, the warehouse, the management board house... The total investment is 11 billion VND from socialized capital.

Cay Temple was built in the Later Le Dynasty to worship the village's tutelary god Bao Phuc Dai Vuong - a famous general during the reign of the 18th Hung King. In 1994, Cay Temple was ranked as a national monument. Over time, many parts of the temple have deteriorated: the tiled roof is leaking, the rafters and rafters are crooked, and the structural components and trusses are cracked and no longer able to bear the load.

The restoration and embellishment of Cay Temple not only creates a national-level infrastructure but also meets the cultural and religious needs of the people.
