The construction unit is urgently completing the traffic safety system along Highway 396, speeding up the progress of the East-West axis road construction investment project in Hai Duong province.
Up to now, the section from km8+300 - km36+493 (except Bac Hung Hai bridge), the 16 km long area along Highway 396 has completed the asphalt concrete road surface, and is completing the traffic safety system.
The construction unit plans to complete the construction of the traffic safety system before the Lunar New Year 2024. The contractors are focusing on completing the road surface in the remaining areas. The weak ground area at both ends of Bac Hung Hai Bridge is being monitored for subsidence and has not been unloaded yet.
The section from km 0 - km 8+300, 8.3km long, in Thanh Mien district, is under construction to complete the road surface. The weak ground area at both ends of Phi Xa bridge is being monitored for subsidence. Bac Hung Hai bridge has basically completed 5/6 piers, and is casting beams and constructing cantilevers.
The East-West Axis Road Project is a key project to implement the Resolution of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. The project is invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board. The implementation period is from 2021-2024. When completed, the route will help connect many main routes such as the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway, Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway, National Highway 38B, the province's North-South Axis Road, National Highway 37, National Highway 10 and many provincial roads of Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, etc.
