The Honda Cub E electric motorbike model was brought to the Vietnamese market through a number of private importers with prices starting at 20 million VND.
Honda Cub E is an electrified version of the legendary Super Cub motorbike, which was copyrighted in Vietnam in November 2023. However, up to now, Honda Vietnam has not announced any further information about this model.
Recently, some private motorbike dealers have imported Honda Cub E from China to Vietnam to distribute to customers in need. However, according to a survey, the selling price of this electric motorbike model has a significant difference between stores.
Accordingly, a dealer in Hanoi quoted a price of about 27 million VND for customers who want to own this model. Meanwhile, another store in Ho Chi Minh City is selling Honda Cub E at a much lower price, only from 20 million VND.
The dealer said that the Honda Cub E, which has just arrived in Vietnam, is receiving a lot of attention from users, leading to it being sold out very quickly. This model is sought after because it possesses the classic features of the Super Cub line but has a much more attractive price than the Cub 125 model that is being sold officially for about 86 million VND.
Compared to the Super Cub version with internal combustion engine, Honda Cub E has been refined in design to be more compact and simple. The size of the electric version is also smaller, the rear of the vehicle is shorter than the gasoline version, so it only has a single seat for the driver and cannot be fitted with a secondary seat.
In terms of equipment, the Honda Cub E also has an LED lighting system including headlights and daytime running lights. The turn signals are located on both sides, near the handlebars. All are designed in the round shape typical of the Super Cub line.
The vehicle is equipped with a digital speedometer that displays basic parameters such as battery capacity, ODO number, speed and time. This cluster is integrated with an automatically adjusting backlight and is connected to the headlight switch.
In addition, the Honda Cub E is also integrated with a smartphone connection feature, allowing users to track information about battery capacity, distance and GPS location. The vehicle is equipped with 17-inch cast wheels, with disc brakes on the front wheel and drum brakes on the rear wheel.
In terms of operation, the Honda Cub E uses a 48V-20Ah Ternary lithium battery weighing 6.4 kg placed under the footrest, providing a travel distance of about 65 km for a full charge with a maximum speed of 25 km/h. In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with pedals for the driver to use when necessary.
