On the morning of December 16, Thanh Ha District Youth Union coordinated with the Department of Justice, People's Court, and People's Procuracy of Thanh Ha District to organize a mock trial at Ha Dong High School.

According to the content of the hypothetical verdict, at the end of 2022, Le Van Tien (assumed name, played by a student of Ha Dong High School) was recruited for military service and was issued a call-up order by the competent authority on February 6, 2023. However, Tien did not appear at the time and place stated in the call-up order without a valid reason. On March 6, 2023, the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to administratively sanction Tien, with a fine of 30 million VND. On September 20, 2023, Tien paid the full amount of this fine.

According to the 2024 military recruitment plan, Tien continued to be called for a medical examination to perform military service. According to the call for citizens to join the army of the Thanh Ha District Military Command, Tien had to be present at 6:30 a.m. on February 16, 2024 at the Thanh Ha District Military Command to join the army. Tien directly signed the order but on February 16, 2024, he continued to disobey the call for military service by fleeing the locality. On May 6, 2024, the Thanh Ha District Military Command sent a document to the Thanh Ha District Police Investigation Agency requesting to handle Le Van Tien's act of evading military service.

At the trial, Tien confessed to evading military service. The court sentenced him to 15 months in prison.

The mock trial presented a specific situation to help high school students understand criminal behavior and the price they must pay when evading military service. Participating in military service to protect the Fatherland is the duty of young people, and is also an opportunity to train and mature. If they evade, they will be severely punished.
