Hai Duong will spend nearly 1,600 billion VND to invest in provincial medical facilities.

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has just approved the Project "Strengthening facilities and medical equipment at public health service units at the provincial level in the period 2025-2030".

Accordingly, the province will spend nearly VND1,600 billion in the 2025-2030 period to invest in provincial-level medical facilities. The project will be implemented at 13 public service units managed by the Department of Health, including 10 hospitals and 3 centers.

The 10 provincial hospitals included in the project are the Provincial General Hospital and 9 specialized hospitals including: Pulmonary, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Eye and Dermatology, Traditional Medicine, Rehabilitation, Tropical Diseases, Psychiatry, and Leprosy. 3 Centers include: Provincial Disease Control, Forensic Medicine, Drug, Cosmetic, and Food Testing.

The project aims to improve the quality of healthcare at provincial-level health facilities, focusing on developing healthcare human resources and strengthening the medical examination and treatment and rehabilitation system. To implement the project, the province will continue to invest in construction, maintenance, and renovation of facilities, and purchase medical equipment. At the same time, it will develop information technology infrastructure and promote digital transformation in the health sector.

The implementation of the project will contribute to the implementation of health targets in the socio-economic development of the province. By 2025, Hai Duong strives to achieve the target of 36 hospital beds/10,000 people, exceeding the target of 10 doctors/10,000 people. By 2030, the province strives to achieve 40.5 hospital beds/10,000 people and 15 doctors/10,000 people or more.
