On the afternoon of April 26, the National Festival of Library Staff to promote reading culture and introduce books closed and awarded prizes. The delegation of Hai Duong Provincial Library staff excellently won the second prize for the whole delegation.
Members of the Hai Duong delegation participated in 4 competitions, including: introducing the team; introducing books; introducing a new and effective model in developing a reading culture and serving lifelong learning in the locality and unit; and the talent competition.
In the talent competition, the staff of the Provincial Library played, sang and danced to the song “Bright Dien Bien”. This song was composed by Director of the Hai Duong Provincial Library Bui Duc Canh.
The National Festival of Librarians to promote reading culture and introduce books with the theme "Dien Bien - Forever resounding epic" was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province from April 23 to 26. Nearly 1,200 delegates who are librarians from 42 delegations of provincial and municipal libraries, armed forces libraries, and university libraries nationwide attended the festival.
Within the framework of the activities of the 2024 Festival of Library Staff to Promote Reading Culture and Introduce Books, a number of libraries, publishers, and book companies participated in displaying books, newspapers, and documents introducing the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80-year history of building, fighting, and growing of the Vietnam People's Army, and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
