S-Race Hai Phong Student Race "For Vietnamese Stature"

S-Race is the largest running tournament for students in Vietnam, connecting families, schools and society in taking care of school health. The S-Race Hai Phong race attracted the participation of 4,500 students, teachers and parents in the area.

Since 2020, S-Race has organized live events in 6 provinces and cities. Along with that, the S-Race Online version also has the participation of students, teachers and parents in 63 localities across the country.

Hai Phong is the 7th city of the S-Race journey and the final destination of the S-Race 2023 season. S-Race Hai Phong has a special meaning when it takes place on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. Each healthy student, with balanced intellectual and physical development, is the greatest gift for teachers. At S-Race Hai Phong, each activity demonstrates the close connection between teachers and students, affirming that teachers and the school will always accompany each step of the students' growth, so that they will become more and more steadfast, confident and become useful citizens for the future of the country.

S-Race Hai Phong includes competitions for 3 age groups: junior high school students (11 - 14 years old); high school students (15 - 17 years old); college and university students (18 - 23 years old). The competition distance is 3 km for male students and high school male students; 1.5 km for junior high school male students, female students, high school female students and junior high school female students. The Organizing Committee awarded individual prizes from first to 10th place based on the finishing achievements of each athlete in 6 competitions; 3 collective prizes (corresponding to 3 levels) for the unit with the most participating athletes. The total prize value of S-Race Hai Phong is 132 million VND.

In addition, there are expanded activities of S-Race Family and S-Race Teacher with 1,200 teachers, parents and primary school students. The handshakes of teachers - students, parents - children have become a unique feature of S-Race, contributing to spreading positive emotions, love and connection.

S-Race Hai Phong is also the activation stage of S-Race Online x School 2024. For the first time in Vietnam, S-Race Online x School for students and teachers is deployed simultaneously nationwide. This online running activity takes place for 30 days (November 12 - December 11) through the UpRace application. Previously, the 30-day challenge S-Race Online x Family (August 16 - September 15) also attracted students and parents in 63/63 provinces and cities to participate. With 2 new challenges, expanding the number of participants, encouraging parents and teachers to run with students, S-Race Online 2023 marks a school sports activity that receives the support of families and schools on a large scale, creating a strong resonance and spreading effect.

With the theme "Together to move forward", S-Race Online x School is an opportunity for teachers and students to unite to conquer challenges and spread the image of a healthy school. In the individual content, students participating in the challenge are divided by level of education: 30km (middle school students); 45km (high school students); 60km (students). In addition, S-Race Online x School has a 1000km challenge for all 3 groups: universities, high schools, and the Department of Education and Training. Based on the achievements, the Organizing Committee will award prizes to the top 30 of each individual content, the top 3 universities, high schools, the Department of Education and Training, and the first 5 units to reach 1,000 members with prizes of smart watches, S-Race T-shirts, badges, and online certificates.

S-Race is part of a series of school sports communication activities for the period 2020 - 2025 implemented by the Department of Physical Education (Ministry of Education and Training), the Sports Department (Vietnam Television), TH Group, Unicomm Media Company (Unic) and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. This is also one of the activities to join hands in implementing the Master Plan on physical development and stature of Vietnamese people for the period 2011 - 2030 according to Decision 641/QD-TTg and the School Health Program for the period 2021 - 2025 according to Decision No. 1660/QD-TTg approved on October 2, 2021 by the Prime Minister.

Up to now, S-Race holds a double record: The school race with the most students participating in Asia and the race for students in both live and online formats with the most athletes in Vietnam.
