Nearly 3,500 athletes participate in Vietnam Trail Marathon

This year, athletes competed in 5 distances, including: 5km, 10km, 21km, 42km, 70km of trails through famous tourist destinations of Moc Chau and finishing at the Heart-shaped Tea Hill. Each distance brought exciting challenges to the athletes. Moc Chau's trails seemed to be more bustling with the running steps and cheers of the local people.

The dry weather is also a favorable condition for athletes to compete, especially to gain more experience and reality about the lives of ethnic minorities on the Moc Chau plateau. Therefore, this is always considered one of the most beautiful off-road running routes in Vietnam.

Participating in the 10km race, athlete Phuong Thao from Hanoi said: This is the first time participating in the race so I feel very excited. Although the route to overcome is difficult and dangerous, the scenery is very beautiful and the spirit of her and the athletes is very enthusiastic.

Moc Chau district was chosen as the place to hold the annual running race because of its wild and charming natural scenery, fresh and cool climate, many challenging and rugged mountain and forest roads, romantic flower roads, immense tea hills... This is also an opportunity for Moc Chau district to continue to promote and advertise tourism to domestic and international friends. Thereby, affirming Moc Chau - One of the world's leading natural destinations.

Vice Chairwoman of Moc Chau District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoa said: The time to hold the tournament is the most beautiful season of the year in Moc Chau District, with hills of plum and peach blossoms in full bloom. Participating in the race on the vast grassy hills and green tea hills has brought many emotions to the athletes. Besides the beautiful scenery, the warm feelings of the ethnic people of Moc Chau District also encourage the athletes to achieve the best results.

After 4 times of organization in Moc Chau district, the footsteps of more than 10,000 athletes have left their mark on the poetic roads of the beautiful grassland. The impressive trails, majestic mountains and forests, and the villages still retain their wild beauty, the friendly and hospitable ethnic people have brought the athletes an unforgettable experience.

The Vietnam Trail Marathon not only spreads the noble sportsmanship spirit but also spreads good deeds and profound humanitarian meanings, because a part of the budget will be allocated to social security work. This year, the Organizing Committee has allocated 500 million VND to build a Fund to support housing construction for poor households in Moc Chau district.
