Before the State Bank organized the gold auction on the morning of April 22, the buying and selling prices of SJC gold bars in the Hai Duong market during the last 2 days of the week fluctuated insignificantly and remained at a high level.
At 5:15 p.m. on Sunday (April 21), the price of SJC gold bars bought by some large stores such as Bao Tin Manh Hai, Doji, PNJ was around VND81.8 million/tael, sold at VND83.85 million/tael. Compared to the morning trading price of the same day, it decreased by nearly VND200,000/tael, but was still equal to the closing price of Saturday (April 20) in both directions. Compared to the world market, each tael of SJC gold bar is priced VND10 million higher.
Compared to the end of April 14, the end of last week, SJC gold bars increased by nearly VND1.4 million/tael for buying and increased by more than VND900,000/tael for selling. The uneven increase narrowed the difference between buying and selling SJC gold bars to VND2 million/tael, down VND500,000/tael compared to the end of April 14.
The price of 9999 round gold rings traded in Hai Duong market is around 74.4 million VND/tael for buying and 76.6 million VND/tael for selling. Compared to the transaction price at the end of April 20, it decreased by 100,000 VND/tael for buying and 200,000 VND/tael for selling.
According to a survey by Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, in recent days, gold and silver shops in Hai Duong City have been open and operating normally, in the context that in the past week, many gold shops on some busy business streets in Ho Chi Minh City have been closed en masse.
