This year, localities in Hai Duong organized meaningful, economical, and compact Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children, focusing resources on supporting disadvantaged children affected by storms and floods.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival took place especially after Storm No. 3 severely affected the northern provinces, including Hai Duong. The Youth Union, Association, and Young Pioneers at all levels organized meaningful, economical, and compact Mid-Autumn Festival activities, depending on the actual situation in the locality, focusing resources on supporting disadvantaged children and those in difficult circumstances affected by the storm. In particular, some localities organized the Mid-Autumn Festival to raise funds to support people affected by storms and floods.
On this occasion, the whole province presented nearly 200,000 gifts (including cash, cakes, candies, milk, books, clothes...) to children with a total value of 1.5 billion VND.
In addition, the Provincial Youth Union, the Young Pioneer Council, and the Provincial Youth Union also coordinated and mobilized many units, organizations, and businesses to give many meaningful gifts such as milk, moon cakes, lanterns, masks, toys, etc. with a total value of more than 800 million VND.
Small gifts show concern for children, especially those in difficult circumstances; encourage them to strive to study, practice, and educate the traditional cultural values of the nation.
