Nearly 100 athletes participate in the Hoa Lu Cup National Wrestling Championship

Taking place from April 28 to April 30, this year's tournament has the participation of nearly 100 athletes from 9 delegations including: Army, Police, Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc, Thanh Hoa, Bac Giang, Nghe An, Ha Nam and the host team Ninh Binh. The wrestlers will compete in the following weight categories: 50kg, 50 - 57kg, 57 - 65kg, 65 - 72kg, 72 - 80kg and over 80kg with a double-elimination format. This is a practical activity to continue promoting the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", contributing to preserving and promoting the quintessence of traditional culture of the nation, especially traditional ethnic sports, including wrestling.

According to the Organizing Committee, all delegations have made careful preparations, bringing athletes with the best professional quality to the Tournament. Therefore, the Tournament promises to bring many exciting matches.

The 2023 Hoa Lu Cup National Wrestling Tournament is part of the competition system of the Vietnam Wrestling Federation, held annually at the Hoa Lu Festival. This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the potential and strengths of the economy and society as well as the scenic spots and historical and cultural relics of Ninh Binh to domestic and international tourists.
