On September 24, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a conference to announce the planning and investment promotion of Dong Nai province in 2024 with the theme “Connection - Integration - Take Off”. Also attending were leaders of central ministries, departments and agencies.

On July 3, 2024, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 586/QD-TTg approving the Planning of Dong Nai province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 (Provincial Planning). According to the planning scope, the planning boundary includes: a total natural area of ​​more than 5.8 thousand km2 with 11 administrative units.

The provincial planning aims to make Dong Nai a civilized, modern, high-growth province by 2030, surpassing the high-income threshold in the top group of the country. The economy develops dynamically and takes the lead in developing aviation economy, high-tech industry, science - technology and innovation.

The economic and social infrastructure system, the urban system develops synchronously, modernly, intelligently, sustainably, and richly in identity, characterized by the development of international-class airport and ecological urban areas. Cultural identity is preserved and promoted; the ecological environment is protected and adapted to climate change; national defense and security are firmly ensured.

By 2050, Dong Nai strives to become a centrally-governed city, a pioneer in developing high-tech industry, with a synchronous, smart, and modern infrastructure system; a center of international trade, tourism, and services associated with world-class urban areas, a place where intellectuals and talents gather, focusing on green economy and circular economy and achieving the goal of net emissions of "0". Social sectors develop harmoniously; people have a prosperous and happy life. National defense, security, and social order and safety are firmly ensured.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, Dong Nai is deeply aware: "A good quality planning will exploit and promote the potential and strengths of the locality, helping the province have the fastest and most effective path to achieve the set goals". Therefore, the work of building and implementing the Provincial Planning is an extremely important task.

We must take advantage of this opportunity to allocate development space, remove bottlenecks, create new development momentum, and combine the implementation of five strategic breakthroughs, including: effectively exploiting Long Thanh International Airport; completing a synchronous and modern infrastructure framework; building green industrial parks, reducing carbon emissions, attracting investment in modern industrial projects with high added value; building a center for innovation and digital transformation, developing education and training complexes, and implementing high-class urban, tourism, and resort service projects.

In which, the focus is to mobilize and effectively use all legal resources to promote traditional growth drivers (investment, export, consumption); breakthroughs in new growth drivers (green economy, digital economy, circular economy, sharing economy, knowledge economy, etc.). 2 enhancements include: increasing investment, developing human factors (improving people's knowledge, training high-quality human resources, nurturing talents, ensuring social security); strengthening regional, regional, domestic and international connectivity through the transportation system, production system and chain, market connection. 3 breakthroughs include: breakthroughs in developing a synchronous strategic infrastructure system (in terms of transportation, climate change response, digital infrastructure, health, education, society, etc.); Breakthroughs promote science and technology, innovation, startups, application of achievements of the 4th industrial revolution, business development, job creation, stable and developing livelihoods for people; breakthroughs in training, attracting talents, high-quality human resources, administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment.
