Vietnam Futsal Team finalizes list of 16 players for training in South America

The list of 16 players participating in the training session was selected by Head Coach Giustozzi Diego Raul. Accordingly, 3 out of 19 players called up for the training session from May 8 had to say goodbye to their teammates, namely goalkeepers Luu Thanh Bao, Nguyen Huu Phuc and Ala Tran Nhat Trung. This was a decision that the Argentine strategist calculated and considered on the basis of ensuring equal resources for the teams of the Vietnam Futsal Team.

Recently, the Vietnam Futsal Team has been actively training at Thai Son Nam Gymnasium (District 8, Ho Chi Minh City). The team also had two international friendly matches with the Solomon Islands Futsal Team on May 25-26. In these two matches, despite experimenting with the lineup, the Vietnam Futsal Team still showed superiority, winning with the same score of 5-0.

In the upcoming training trip in South America, the first destination of the Vietnam Futsal Team will be Paraguay. During the training here, Vietnam will play 3 friendly matches with the Paraguay Futsal Team on June 4, 6 and 8 before moving to the second training destination, Argentina.

In Argentina, Coach Giustozzi Diego Raul and his team will have three more high-quality friendly matches with the host country's Futsal Team, on June 10, 12 and 14 respectively.

Paraguay is currently ranked 9th in the world Futsal rankings, while Argentina is ranked 4th and was crowned world champion in 2016. Competing with high-class teams will be very beneficial for the players of the Vietnam Futsal Team. This is also a great effort of the Vietnam Football Federation in investing in a focused manner, ensuring that the Vietnam Futsal Team has the best preparation for the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship Qualifiers which will begin this coming October.
