Promoting that achievement, in 2024, Ca Mau aims to attract about 2.35 million tourists to visit and entertain locally, with total revenue reaching more than 3,480 billion VND.

According to Mr. Hung, the above results were achieved thanks to the drastic participation of functional sectors, districts, units... and the implementation of many tourism activities.

Specifically, the events Ca Mau - Destination 2023, Southern Folk Cake Festival, and U Minh Forest Fragrance attract a large number of tourists to Ca Mau.

Taking advantage of the success of 2023, Ca Mau will promote the above results in the coming year. Accordingly, tourism and cultural activities will continue to be deployed on a larger scale and more professionally, creating a spreading effect, attracting more and more tourists to Ca Mau to experience.

Currently, the provincial tourism sector is continuing to complete the task of master planning for the construction of Mui Ca Mau National Tourist Area and establishing a master planning project for the construction of Mui Ca Mau National Tourist Area; completing and effectively implementing the tourism development project of Ca Mau province for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

A representative of Hoang Hon Community Ecotourism Area (Dat Mui Commune, Ngoc Hien District) acknowledged that previously the highest revenue of the tourist area was 9 million VND/day.

However, since Ca Mau province had tourism development policies, applied technology and digital transformation to promote and introduce tourism, connected tours and new products with many travel companies near and far, the number of visitors has been very large, thanks to which revenue has increased to tens of millions of VND per day.

Mr. Le Duy Trinh, Deputy Director of Muong Thanh Ca Mau Hotel, said that many years ago, Muong Thanh Group applied digital transformation in many fields, because this is an inevitable need, bringing great benefits to tourism; helping customers easily access the best tourism services.

Mr. Tran Hieu Hung added that in 2024, Ca Mau tourism industry will innovate promotion and communication work associated with technology application, promote digital transformation of tourism; upgrade information technology application software in tourism promotion.

Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan suggested that in the future, each tourism establishment should create short 3-5 minute clips to introduce in seminars, events, or at their tourist areas about the strengths of the tourism establishment so that tourists know about them; this is also a way to promote tourism.

The province also encourages tourist areas to promote cashless payments to facilitate tourists' shopping while traveling.

The Provincial People's Committee hopes that businesses operating in the tourism sector will be more aware of the urgent need for digital transformation in tourism, thereby taking action together to serve their tourism business activities, contributing to the overall success of the local tourism industry.
