Tay Ninh tourism is growing rapidly in terms of revenue and number of visitors.

On the morning of October 7, within the framework of the Tay Ninh Day event in Hanoi, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province held a conference to promote tourism promotion of Tay Ninh Fragrance 2023.

Tay Ninh tourism is gradually "awakened"

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vo Duc Trong said that this event is expected to become a highlight to enhance the introduction and promotion of the image of Tay Ninh people, culture and tourism to tourists, contributing to attracting investment, promoting socio-economic development in general and culture and tourism of Tay Ninh province in particular.

"With many outstanding activities, the event is a demonstration of Tay Ninh's affection towards the capital, with the desire to further strengthen the relationship between Hanoi and Tay Ninh province in the process of socio-economic development of the two localities, creating conditions and opportunities for businesses in tourism services and Tay Ninh's specialty products to meet, exchange, seek partners, expand scale and develop the market," said Mr. Trong.

According to him, Tay Ninh is gradually opening up its potential and advantages and has achieved relatively good socio-economic achievements in recent years. In particular, tourism has grown rapidly in both revenue and number of visitors.

Recently, Tay Ninh has had about 2 to 2.5 million tourists every year. From 2022, the province has jumped into the top 5 with a breakthrough number of visitors, reaching 4 million; visitors to tourist attractions reached 4.5 million, total revenue reached nearly 1,800 billion VND. It is expected that in 2023, the province will welcome 5 million visitors.

"The potentials and advantages of Tay Ninh tourism have gradually been awakened. The tourism industry has done a good job of exploiting and developing the potentials and advantages of existing tourism resources," the Standing Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh province shared.

Developing spiritual tourism ecosystem

Giving an overview of the potential of Tay Ninh tourism, Ms. Tran Nguyen, Deputy General Director of Sun World Group, said that with 95 ranked relics, 8 intangible cultural heritages, many famous spiritual destinations such as Ba Den Mountain, Cao Dai Holy See, rich cuisine, diverse nature, rich culture with more than 40 festivals a year, Tay Ninh has many strengths to develop diverse types of tourism.

Ms. Nguyen pointed out many problems and challenges for Tay Ninh's "smokeless industry". These include cultural tourism and the existing tourism potentials that have not yet created their own unique features. Ms. Nguyen proposed that Tay Ninh needs to build a sustainable tourism development strategy, position cultural tourism as a strength, and promote investment attraction in synchronous and modern transport infrastructure, technical facilities, services, entertainment, and resort tourism.

“Culture is a unique strength, Tay Ninh needs to exploit this strength more systematically and deeply. Special attention should be paid to developing a healing spiritual tourism ecosystem,” Ms. Nguyen suggested.

Within the framework of the conference, the Tay Ninh Tourism Association and tourism businesses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City signed a cooperation agreement to improve service quality, enhance experiences and promote the number of visitors to Tay Ninh in the coming time.

In addition, the Organizing Committee brings real experiences to visitors when visiting the booths at the event site as if they were taking a tour to fully explore the unique culture of Tay Ninh right in the heart of Hanoi.

Famous destinations such as Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area, Cao Dai Holy See, Central Office of Southern Region relics... along with cultural, historical, spiritual and culinary characteristics are vividly recreated through large-scale and unique art performances and exhibitions at Hoan Kiem walking street.

Tourists can try their hand at singing Southern folk songs with artists, try the Chhay-dam drum dance with artisans or enjoy Tay Ninh specialties at booths such as Tay Ninh salt, rice paper, fruits, etc.
