Weightlifter Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan ended her journey at the 2024 Paris Paralympics with 5th place in the women's 55 kg weightlifting competition.
In the final competition of the Vietnamese delegation, Tuyet Loan successfully lifted 91 kg and 96 kg in the first two attempts. However, she could not successfully lift 99 kg in the third attempt.
With a score of 96 kg, Tuyet Loan ranked 5th overall.
The gold medal went to Rehab Ahmed (Egypt) with 121 kg, the silver medal went to Besra Duman (Turkey) with 113 kg and the bronze medal went to Kamolpan Kraratpet (Thailand) with 108 kg.
Thus, after the women's weightlifting competition in the 55 kg weight class, the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation temporarily ranked 73rd on the medal table with 1 bronze medal from weightlifter Le Van Cong.
