Hung Temple is crowded before the death anniversary of the Hung Kings.

From 7am on April 14, thousands of people from all over the country flocked to the Hung Temple historical site (Viet Tri City, Phu Tho). The Upper, Middle, and Lower Temples on Nghia Linh Mountain were constantly overloaded.

Due to the small area of ​​these three temples, to reduce the load and ensure the safety of the people, the Management Board of the relic site has set up a soft fence at the entrance gate. People are asked to wait in the square area below and go to worship in order.

By 8 o'clock, the square below was crowded, people carrying offerings, and children's palanquins jostling to get to the ceremony area. Ms. Hoang Huong (Hanoi) said that the Hung Kings' Death Anniversary was a day off but it was in the middle of the week, so her family of five chose Sunday to make the pilgrimage, hoping it wouldn't be too crowded. "Unexpectedly, the Hung Temple was so crowded, my family waited forever for their turn to go up to the ceremony," Ms. Huong said.

Mr. Le Truong Giang, Head of the Management Board of the Hung Temple Historical Site, said that the number of tourists flocking to the site has increased dramatically since yesterday. Two tourists from Hanoi and Kien Giang fainted while traveling to the temples and were given first aid by the police on the spot, then taken to the camp for medical care.

This morning, more visitors arrived, the most since the beginning of the festival, but statistics will only be available at the end of the day. "We have made plans to accommodate about 2 million visitors. Security and health issues have also been prepared, ready for the upcoming main anniversary," Mr. Giang added.

Phu Tho Provincial Police have mobilized nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers to work at checkpoints, temples, and locations in Viet Tri City and neighboring areas to ensure security and prevent criminals from taking advantage of the festival to pickpocket and rob property. The unit also reviewed and made a list of criminals and drug users to take preventive measures from afar.

The Hung Temple Festival opens on April 9, the main ceremony is on April 18 (March 10 of the lunar calendar).
