Located in the east of Hai Duong City, Bach Dang Park surrounds Bach Dang Lake. According to the Hai Duong Urban Works Management Joint Stock Company, this park has an area of 67 hectares (not including the lake surface area). This place is truly the “heart”, “green lung”, “flower basket”, “jade”, “giant mirror” of the city; an ideal place for everyone to come to relax and sightsee.

Who from Hai Duong City has not walked around the park at least once? This place is filled with green: blue sky, blue water, blue ground, green trees. In the middle of the bustling city, that green space is wide enough, peaceful and deep enough to give us a feeling of peace. People can get lost in the quiet, cool, fresh air that is very rare in urban life.

The park is a peaceful, contemplative space. Around the lake, wherever you stop, looking out at the lake, you will see a beautiful, shimmering panoramic space, real and virtual with ideal check-in spots, making your soul wander, drift with the wonderful nature, full of poetry.

Along the lake shore are rows of weeping willows and ancient trees, spreading their cool green leaves, very beautiful and poetic. The willows have soft, graceful shapes and cool green color, creating a poetic beauty for the lake. But Bach Dang Park is not only about willows. There are also nearly 4,500 trees including shade trees, block trees, flower trees with more than 30 species, and many green grass carpets... All of which create a very beautiful complex of grass, trees, flowers and leaves.

More than anywhere else in the city, here the trees, flowers, and lawns are meticulously cared for, trimmed, and shaped.

There are four seasons in a year, so the park is beautiful all four seasons. Starting with spring. When the cold of winter has passed, everything here comes alive, the trees and leaves sprout with vitality: white willows change leaves, red willows bloom, pines, barringtonias, palms, areca, banyan, and sycamore trees... are green to welcome the spring breeze. Then there are the young green grass carpets, the colorful flower carpets. There are many species of flowers that visitors do not know the names of.

Summer is the season of energy and excitement, when trees enter their most vigorous growth period. The green foliage of the ancient trees is like a giant umbrella that blocks the hot summer sun. Walking under that cool green canopy, we feel relaxed, cool, and comfortable. Summer is also the season of blooming purple flowers, royal poinciana flowers, and cassia flowers. On those days, the park has many bright purple, red, and yellow skies, giving visitors a feeling of both passionate warmth and gentle peace. And rain. The June rains ease the heat and soothe the soul. The roads in the park are cleaner, the rows of trees seem greener.

Autumn is considered the most beautiful and typical season of the year in the park. In the golden autumn sunshine, the clear blue sky without a cloud, the whole park is immersed in the romantic autumn colors. During this time, there is a bit of chill from the strange wind, a bit of gentleness from the morning sunlight, a bit of dew still lingering on the gently falling yellow leaves. The trees are still green but the leaves are rustling as if they are making an appointment to hold the feet and hearts of passersby. In late autumn, the milk flower tree begins to bloom tiny clusters of flowers. The scent of milk flowers wafts here and there. And the wind. Coming here, you feel overwhelmed by the immense wind. The wind makes the water surface ripple. And the mist spreads lightly in the early morning and late afternoon. When the mist is hazy, the scenery becomes vague and magical, like illusion, like reality.

In winter, the trees have lost their green color, the treetops have changed color. The stone benches are deserted. There are no more couples walking side by side in the cold afternoons. The lake surface is icy, the mist makes it seem wider and more vague. The gray color of winter from the sky and the water has taken over this place. The small paths surrounding the lake seem a bit strange today: wider and colder. The north wind rustles the trees, tilting their shadows onto the lake surface.

On holidays or when I feel lonely and empty, I come here, walk around the lake or sit on the familiar stone bench to enjoy the view.

Come here to relax. At the peninsula, I sit and enjoy the cool breeze, looking far away at the rippling lake surface. Closer, the willow trees sway in the wind. I happily enjoy the sweet flavors that nature has to offer, listening to the "silent" voice from the sky and the vast water surface. In front of the open nature, my soul feels liberated, extremely relaxed, wanting to scream out loud, to dispel all worries and sorrows, to blend in with the weather and wind here.

Come here to remember, remember “distant, wet memories”. The green space here has created my memories and those of many others. In the deep memory, our hearts turn back to the dreams of the past. In the midst of the dizzying cycle of life, coming here we can relive the memories of the past. More than anywhere else, here the nostalgia is like a fire hidden in the heart that has long burst out, both passionately arousing and gently stirring, never fading away. Remembering a sunny childhood, remembering the past foolishness, remembering the distant love forever… Here, there is silence and the scent of grass and trees, the sound of people and vehicles echoing in the distance, the sound of quiet whispers. Coming here, the sadness seems deeper than anywhere else.

Every time I come here, I feel like I am returning to my true self. I have had “silence”, “peaceful” moments in my soul. I have enjoyed the most simple moments that the hustle and bustle of life has almost forgotten, my soul has become clearer, richer and more sensitive, and I find life more worth living.

Fortunately, the place where I was born and raised, where I have lived my whole life, has such a lyrical and peaceful place.
