Makalot Vietnam Garment Company cares about workers' lives

With the motto "Taking workers as the root", since its establishment, Makalot Vietnam Garment Company Limited has established a trade union organization to protect the rights of workers. In 2023, the company invested tens of billions of VND to install central air conditioning systems in production workshops, ensuring a working environment for workers, especially on hot summer days. Every year, the company organizes many useful activities for staff and workers on the occasion of holidays and Tet. For many consecutive years, at the end of the year, the company has invested more than 2 billion VND to organize a "Solidarity Day" for workers to draw prizes and compete in art performances. Many valuable and practical rewards such as induction cookers, electric cars, water purifiers, etc. have been given to workers.

The company also reduces working hours for female employees who are pregnant or have children under 12 months old. Female employees with children only work 6 hours/day and receive 8 hours of salary. To create conditions for employees to have more time to rest and take care of their children, the company applies a reasonable working time regime, only overtime up to 2 hours/day and does not organize work on Sundays or holidays. Due to the recent increase in gasoline prices, the company has increased the gasoline allowance from 250,000/month/person to 330,000/month/person. The average income of employees is about 9 million VND/person/month.

In 2023, the company donated 60 savings books worth 6 million VND/book to workers in difficulty. This activity has been maintained for many years, creating a solid and reliable spiritual support for workers. Workers who live far away are all provided with shuttle buses by the company. The working environment is clean, production lines are equipped with TVs so that during breaks workers can watch the news or listen to company announcements and new policies related to workers. Spiritual life is taken care of when production workshops have art clubs. On holidays and Tet, the company invests in costumes and time for workers to practice art. From ordinary workers, they have become divine on stage performing acts like professional dancers and artists.

Not only contributing to the development of the local economy, Makalot Vietnam Garment Company Limited also has many activities of gratitude and responsibility to the community. Every year, the company also allocates funds to support charity activities, visit and give gifts to the poor launched by Thanh Ha district. In recent years, the Board of Directors, workers and employees of the company have actively participated in humanitarian blood donation activities organized by Thanh Ha district.
