Hai Duong province drug rehabilitation center helps students rebuild their lives

In 2024, despite facing many difficulties, the staff, employees and workers of Hai Duong Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center still strived to fulfill their assigned tasks, showing responsibility and affection for drug rehabilitation students.

The facility has performed well all stages of the drug addiction treatment process such as: receiving students, withdrawal treatment, detoxification, treatment of mental disorders and other diseases. In particular, the facility pays great attention to propaganda, education, behavioral and personality rehabilitation counseling for students to have the right awareness, faith in life and determination to give up drugs.

The unit also pays great attention to improving the lives of students by organizing meals according to prescribed rations and supplementing fresh meals. Students are free to play sports, read books and newspapers, listen to the radio, watch TV, and participate in cultural activities to improve their spiritual life. Arrangements are made for students to visit relatives and make phone calls to their families.

Organize labor therapy for students through jobs such as processing ribbons, packaging bean cakes, increasing vegetable production, processing tofu, organizing fruit tree planting, raising livestock and poultry. Labor therapy activities help students realize the value of labor, practice skills and restore labor skills that have been impaired due to drug addiction, and at the same time have additional income to improve and enhance the quality of life.

In order to help post-rehabilitation students stabilize their lives, the facility has organized short-term vocational training courses for students on industrial electronics, air conditioning and refrigeration engineering; equipped them with knowledge for reintegration into the community...

Currently, when students come to drug rehabilitation facilities, whether they are compulsory or voluntary, they are entitled to preferential treatment according to regulations. In particular, from August 2024, Hai Duong province has implemented 100% cost support (equivalent to the support level for compulsory drug rehabilitation) for voluntary drug rehabilitation. This is a practical regulation so that drug addicts can choose the form of rehabilitation that is suitable for their conditions and circumstances.

Hai Duong Drug Rehabilitation Center is under the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, located in Cau Dong residential area, Cong Hoa ward (Chi Linh).

This is a public service unit with the function of educating, consulting, managing, and treating drug addicts who are administratively punished by being sent to a rehabilitation facility according to a court decision and drug addicts who voluntarily undergo rehabilitation.
