According to the Provincial Statistics Office, Hai Duong's consumer price index (CPI) in April increased by 0.47% compared to March. On average, in the first 4 months of 2024, the consumer price index increased by 3.3% over the same period in 2023.
Thus, Hai Duong's consumer price index increased continuously in the first 4 months of the year.
In April, 7 groups of goods and services increased in price and 3 groups decreased in price, except for the education group, which kept its price stable compared to March.
Among the 7 groups of goods with increased prices, some groups increased sharply, greatly affecting the CPI. The transportation group increased by 1.98%, mainly due to the increase in gasoline and oil. The housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group increased by 0.11% due to the increase in housing prices.
The food and catering services group increased by 0.44%, mainly in the food group due to increased prices of livestock meat, poultry meat, and processed meat.
Meanwhile, some items in April had lower prices compared to March, such as: wheat flour and other cereals decreased by 6.74%; garments such as ready-made clothes decreased by 0.17%.
