Chelsea took advantage of home field advantage to beat Fulham 1-0 thanks to the only goal from the 11m mark by midfielder Cole Palmer.

Welcoming Fulham, Chelsea took the field with their familiar 4-2-3-1 formation. After the opening whistle, Chelsea entered the game quickly and created relatively stable pressure over time towards Fulham's goal.

In the 15th minute, Gallagher shot from a distance with his left foot from the edge of the penalty area but the ball went over the Fulham crossbar. Six minutes later, Broja caused great regret with a powerful header that went just wide of the visitors' goalpost.

Too busy attacking, Chelsea almost paid the price from a sharp counter-attack by Fulham. In the 27th minute, Andreas Pereira passed well from the left wing, and Harry Wilson shot hard from close range, but fortunately goalkeeper Đorđe Petrovic made a brilliant reflex save.

As the first half slowly passed, it seemed that the two teams would enter the break with a draw, but in the second minute of extra time, Sterling skillfully handled the ball in the penalty area, forcing defender Issa Diop to commit a foul.

The referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot for Chelsea, and Cole Palmer, as usual, coolly took the penalty to break the tie.

In the second half, Chelsea continued to push up their formation in search of more goals. Similar to the first half, The Blues created quite a bit of pressure on Fulham's goal.

In the 53rd minute, Sterling, unmarked in the penalty area, headed the ball against the post, a regrettable result. The following opportunities continued to pass through Palmer, Broja and Colwill.

Fulham were not without chances, but the brilliance of goalkeeper Petrovic denied them all, including Raul Jimenez's dangerous shot into the far corner in the 73rd minute.

Towards the end of the match, specifically 83, Gallagher shot beautifully with the outside of his right foot in the penalty area, the ball hitting the Fulham post. In the end, the result 1-0 in favor of Chelsea remained until the referee blew the final whistle.
